My father works a lot for a man his age. 14 hours a day, at least five days a week, and then half a day on Saturday. He's not in a cubicle, either. He does back-breaking work at a company named Gardner Denver, where he works on oil pumps. This week, however, he's home.
I guess he just decided to take the entire week off, and I'm happy that I'll see more of him during the week. He leaves at 5 am and gets back at around 7 or 7:30 pm. But there is a downside to this.
Mom doesn't do well with Dad in the morning. He is a happy morning person while she is not. Granted, she's been getting better ever since we got Ava and she's had to get up every morning to walk her, but still, I fear for her mental health. One of Dad's favortie pasttimes is to irritate Mom until she's on the bring of exploding.
Fortunately, I have my Jimmy truck, so I can escape to a friend's house if the need arises.
Ava's still psycho. She'll be even more so now that Dad's home because his second favorite pasttime is annoying her. -_-

lasthero - October 02, 2006 (09:58 AM) Oddly enough, my dad has the week-off because of intercession at his school (he's a counselor) Can't say I share your happiness..but then, I am a hermit. |

silverishness - October 03, 2006 (07:15 AM) ....You live secluded in the woods and have a hippie-style beard? Do you grow medicines? o.O |

lasthero - October 03, 2006 (07:56 AM) Well...I don't live in the woods...I mostly just stay in my room and growl at people who enter... I do have a hippie beard, though. Occasionally. |

silverishness - October 03, 2006 (08:46 AM) Do you put strings of large, plastic beads in the beard? That would be cool. |
