I have started addictively playing the new pokemon game that has been brought out : Pokemon: Mysterious Dungeon. I didn't really know what to expect at first, but I have to admit, I'm really starting to like it.
Before you start, you take a personality test to see which available starting pokemon is best suited to your personality. At first, I got Chikorita, but Chikorita sucks, so I took it again and fluked some of my answers. I eventually got Torchic, though I really wanted Cyndaquil.
You then choose your "partner pokemon" that assists you throughout the game. I chose Totodile, since they have really good attack power. I don't really remember all the other choices, but there was Squirtle, Mudkip, Pikachu, Bulbasaur and a few others.
You go through the game traveling through dungeons, caves, forests and mountains on various missions to help other pokemon out. You get in reward either a wad of cash or a cool item. I haven't gotten that much gameplay, but I have come across two other "rescue teams" that are fixed in the game.
The one that my character and Totodile adore is a team of Alakazam, Charizard and Tyranitar. Three cool pokemon to begin with, and plus, they aren't assholes.
The other team, however, is something like an evil team that you have to stop. I've only had to battle them once, and it really wasn't that hard. The team is Gengar, Medicham and Ekans. I really don't understand why the Ekans hasn't eveolved yet into Arbok, cause it's a lot cooler, but oh well.
I thought that you would be able to evolve in the game, but apparently not. My Torchic counterpart has come to lvl 16 and gone, along with Totodile, who is currently at 18. The other pokemon I picked up in a cave, Poocheyena, is at 16 or 17. Can't remember, but Poocheyena normally evolve at 18, so I suppose we'll see.
Sorry, Lasthero, Sora and Riku are pretty darn gay in my book. I resisted it at first, like you, but the ending was so overwhelmingly gay, I couldn't deny it anymore. Poor Kairi.
