My God, another one.
September 12, 2006

Sorry, guys. I have to do this. The literary master has composed another fan fiction. You know the one I'm talking about.

Yes, the author of "For the Love of a Lord", the fiction I've been torturing you with for the past couple of blogs, has another fiction that has been brought to my attention. Though there is no Lady Kara for everyone to fall in love with, she has taken Manah from the second Drakengard and mashed her until she fit the role. And of course, the grammar, spelling, and conjigation of verbs is revolting.

A basic synopsis of what happens in the first game is the first chapter, and that in and of itself really isn't that bad. Probably because she copied most of it from the beginning of D2 in the intro, but let's look over that. The first part of the second chapter, where the story actually begins, summarizes the game's plot until she begins her own story, which is when Nowe and Manah join forces with Urick and run off.

Now, I'll go ahead and save a little bit of time: I'm pretty damn sure this is a Manah/Caim fic. Yes, it is disgusting. It's an abomination of nature. Though Caim may look younger than he really is -which I don't think so- in the second game, and Manah look older, the author has yet to take into the account of the first game's ages: Caim at a suitable 24, Manah at a measley 6. Caim is old enough to be her father, but does this matter? OF COURSE NOT! Because apparently, LOVE IS AGE BLIND!

Oh, and what was the other reason a Caim/Manah fic shouldn't exist? Oh what was it... OH YEAH! CAIM HATES HER! And WHY would Caim hate her? Because she ruined his life, that's why! It was one of HER dragons that killed his parents. SHE made Inuart go crazy. SHE caused Furiae to stab herself! She made his life a living hell! And on top of that, because of her love-starved self, Angelus became the Seal! She wouldn't have if that damn Manah weren't around! Granted, Manah was the reason Caim and Angelus made a pact in the first place, but the bad REALLY outweighs the good here.

But that's not the last reason! Not only does Caim hate her, I'm pretty sure that she hates him. What about all of those psychotic breakdowns -which I thought were pretty freaking funny- she had whenever Caim was around?

And yet, this author has found somekind of love between the two. Because as you know, hate is equivalent to LOVE.

Unfortunately, I can't enjoy this story as much as the other one because... it's just plain gross. As I skim through the contents, I'm seeing a lot of... guh... vomit-inducing things. Like this:

"Try and escape if you can." Caim said smiling evily.

Manah glared back at him. Only to feel her heart beat faster once again at seeing his grin as he walked out the door.

"Why am I acting this way!" Manah thought angrily to herself as she looked out the window of the room she was in.

"Why did I save that witch!" Caim thought angrily to himself. "I should have let her fall to her death when she slipped from the edge of the cliff. She deserves it after all the shit she has done to the ones I had loved dearly."

Caim looked at his hand remembering how warm Manah's hand had felt as he grabbed it.

He curled his fist in anger. The next instant, blood was running down his hand and dripping onto the floor.

He had gone to his room to relax. He had laid down and closed his eyes.

Manah had left her room and walked downstairs. She didn't see Caim anywhere. So she went to go and open the front door quietly. But had no luck because the door was locked. She had gone to the back door. It was the same as the front door. It was locked.

Manah had decided to search the house for another exit. She had opened the rooms to see if there was anyway of escaping.

She had gone down a hallway and opened the last door on the righside.

It was a bedroom.

And that's where I initially stopped. But fortunately, near the end of the chapter, Nowe and Urick manage to save her. But I'm going to make a guess here and say that the rest of the plot will be focused around Manah trying to get Caim out of her mind and eventually, she'll confront him about it and it will lead to the inevitable teh SEX111. I really don't want to find out if I'm right, though.

Poor Caim. I even feel a little pity for Manah. This is exactly the reason why I'm a little scared to publish my own manga, because I know it's inevitable that my beloved characters will be butchered in poorly-written shitheaps like this. Dammit all.

Genj's version of the bedroom scene.

Manah opened the bedroom door. As it creaked and squeezed, she knew in her heart that something grotesque lurked deep within in the room. She scanned the room and was mortified to see Caim undressed. His pants lay ripped on the floor.

"My cock is a raging monster!" he bellowed from his old vocal cords.

Manah knew it was icky and nonsensical, but she felt that some force wanted her to put that colossal penis into her cavernous vagina. She slowly approached Caim, but a comet landed directly on the two and they died.
