Lo and behold, I am officially an attending college student. Huzzah!
Right now, I am actually in the college library. There are so many computers, and there really aren't any restrictions on where you're allowed to go... So much more free than high school library! It's great! The librarians aren't coming up behind you through their cloud of librarian-ninja smoke asking you in a low, husky voice, "IS IT FOR SCHOOL...?" I'm really starting to love it here.
I've got about ten minutes before I have to go to my history class. In the English comp. class, we got a syllabus, and it didn't look too difficult, which made me SO relieved. We don't have very many essays and stuff -only four REAL papers for the entire semester. I've gotten around to my other classes -to see where they are and everything- pretty easily. It's not that big of a campus, and the classes are pretty small. At least, they're smaller than the classes in high school.
So, I am feeling somewhat relieved now. This morning, I was almost sick with anxiety, but now it's quickly fading away. The only thing I'm still nervous about is my art professor, who I don't see until tomorrow. My sister told me that he/she shouldn't be as narrow-minded as Tallent, but then again, they shouldn't have had a high school teacher like that for the AP students either, so... I dunno...
I haven't seen many of my school buddies here, which makes me sad. Though the majority of the school's population is my senior class and above, I do see more than a few 30 and 40-year old people. It's not that I look down on them or anything -actually, I repect thier courage- but it's just... strange...
Well, I gotta go to my other class now.

Unfortunately, I've never had the experience of sleeping through a class. Been half conscious, yes, but not entirely asleep. I'm still aware of what's going on. And lasthero- I think the word you're looking for is "nostalgic", perhaps? And I will take that comment as a compliment. :) |
