It's been almost three weeks since I've posted here. Time really does fly, I guess. Haven't had much time between work being hell, my mom being gone for a business trip (leaving me to nursemaid my father, who recently had surgery) and a host of other things. Blargh. So, the long and short of it - despite my arm being screwed up (therapist thinks it's repetitive stress syndrome) I've managed to get in quite a bit of time on the Wii. Mario Galaxy is a blast but it's been frustrating me quite regularly - but today I seemed to be on a roll and claimed quite a few Power Stars and a Grand Star before finishing up a bit ago. Bought a few Virtual Console games (is there any way to show those on the game collection, guys?) so I was messing around with Super Metroid earlier.
I'm really enjoying this game system - I didn't think I would enjoy it THIS much, but damn, it's too much fun. And I saw a recent trailer for Dragon Quest Swords - it may not be TRADITIONAL DQ but it looks like a blast anyway. And hey, we DO like swords here... ;)
So..If I'm quiet for the next couple of weeks, it's being busy, not lack of wanting to contribute. This "real life" stuff sucks. :P
As for movie stuff - We picked up Resident Evil: Extinction (oh shut up, it's not really all that RE but it beats the hell out of the second one).. and we went to see National Treasure: Book of Secrets. I loved it - yes, it was unrealistic and over the top but so much fun! If you liked the first one you have to see this one too. :)
We're also watching more of Seint Seiya (the retranslated version of Knights of the Zodiac, with improved voice acting and less censorship :P). I never saw Knights of the Zodiac when it first came out because I thought it was something to do with astrology, which I think is stupid - but it's more Greek mythology, which I have a passion for. :) So despite being fairly typical, I'm still enjoying it.
I think that's all for now. G'night!

honestgamer - January 14, 2008 (12:58 AM) There's no way to list Virtual Console titles on your collection, no. That's unlikely to change, since the overwhelming majority of them are just ROMs of original games. I'm okay with that and happily buy them when I can afford to, of course, but that doesn't exactly recommend them to their own game listings. And yes, the Wii is a fantastic system that's just an absolute blast. It's not for the people who think games should play like movies, but it's perfect for people like us who still play games for fun. |

siara79 - January 14, 2008 (08:35 AM) I mean, I like my occasional "pretty games" (which is why I eventually want a 360) but I am really enjoying being able to play something and have fun with it again. :) As for the VC games I'll just add them from their official system then I guess. :) |
