With any luck, I'll get it out of there in time to enter it into the TT. The subject is Hotel Dusk, and the verdict is significant disappointment.
Which seems to be perfectly in line with the reviews already up on the site, but it's just something that needs to be said.

WilltheGreat - July 16, 2009 (01:38 AM) Negative reviews are always more fun to write, aren't they? |

sashanan - July 16, 2009 (04:14 AM) It depends. When a game totally deserves its spanking then yes, it is satisfying to stomp it into the ground. When a game could have been so much better, had some excellent ingredients but squanders them the way Hotel Dusk did, it's just painful. The old feeling of wanting to love a game but it won't let you. |

aschultz - July 16, 2009 (06:54 AM) A negative review of should'ves and could'ves and "why didn't they just" can be very tough to write but it can clarify what we want/don't want... BTW I didn't realize you had a DS. I read your Impossible Mission review and realize that's a game I want to finish too, finally--probably with save states, though. |
