Dungeon Lords: Collector’s Edition review (PC)Reviewed on February 26, 2006You’ll almost be glad when the chirping crickets and hooting owls fall silent, replaced by rustling of leaves or the scraping of claws on stone that pre-empt another battle. It’s fun to explore new portions of the map and watch the blank areas fill in as if by magic. There’s a definite sense that adventure could lie beyond each hilltop. |

Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 review (PC)Reviewed on March 30, 2006What really makes Red Orchestra unique is the commitment to realism. Characters move at normal speeds, stamina limits your sprinting and jumping, bullets drop over distances, one hit is often enough to kill, bolt-action rifles must be manually reloaded, and cross-hairs are only seen through scopes. |

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion review (PC)Reviewed on May 02, 2006Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion truly is one of those titles that only appear once in a blue moon; in a time where dry points are strewn about the gaming scene. |

RapeLay review (PC)Reviewed on May 27, 2006To some extent, RapeLay represents a substantial evolution in hentai gaming: diverse, real-time, interactive sexual intercourse. But let's be honest. In RapeLay, you rape women. Well-programmed or not, it's despicable. |

Micro Machines V4 review (PC)Reviewed on July 08, 2006What could have been a tightly controlling game, then, is just an exercise in frustration. You never dare approach a corner at full speed because if you do, you’re pretty much screwed. This is true of any of the hundreds and hundreds of vehicles you can add to your collection, making their inclusion cosmetic rather than useful. |

Restricted Area review (PC)Reviewed on August 10, 2006Information exchanges hands like cash, body parts are put on the open market, and corporations hire mercenaries to do their bidding. As an outcast in an already downtrodden society, even you have signed your life away to the corporations with the slim hope of a brighter future. |

FlatOut 2 review (PC)Reviewed on August 14, 2006Scattered throughout each of the available tracks are alternate routes you can take if the mood strikes you. Plenty of games have done that before, but usually it’s just something along the lines of "go left around the big tree instead of right." There’s some of that here, but it’s not emphasized so much as it is simply snuck into place. |

Civilization IV: Warlords review (PC)Reviewed on August 16, 2006When you get a warlord, you then get to decide which available unit you’d like to associate him with. So, let’s say you have a few groups of chariot-riding fiends. He can join them and their power will be boosted accordingly. But they’re hardly invincible, or else the game would be too imbalanced. No, they’re just the slightest bit stronger. |

Heart de Roommate review (PC)Reviewed on August 31, 2006While it’s true that there is nudity, that’s not so much the focus as you might anticipate. You probably expect Yusuke to sneak around peeking in bathrooms when girls are bathing, spying on shower stalls at school, and maybe raping a few females for good measure. That’s just not the focus, though, and Heart de Roommate is better for it. |

Bone: Out from Boneville review (PC)Reviewed on September 07, 2006The comic's appeal was widespread, and, to a point, so is the game. The younger audience will enjoy the goofy characters, the vibrant colours and cartoony graphics whilst older players will enjoy that everything is just a little bit more complex then it seems. Behind the childish presentation lays a strong collection of characters that are a joy to interact with. From the sleepy-eyed Red Dragoon who takes a minimalistic approach to helping the cousins on their way to the triplet of playful possums that bicker for Fone's attention and take an immediate dislike to Phoney, there's an energetic world to explore. But before you can get lost in it, it's over. |

CivCity: Rome review (PC)Reviewed on September 11, 2006With your first attempts at construction, you can only make tiny huts barely suitable for habitation. Residents demand a well, but they’ll only travel so far to reach it (apparently, crossing the entire city is just too much of a hassle and will prompt them to move to a city other than yours for the sake of eventual convenience). |

Bone: The Great Cow Race review (PC)Reviewed on September 28, 2006A lot of notice was taken of Boneville's shortcomings and fixed up in this outing; while both games drip with a vibrant and goofy charm that will appeal to audiences young and old, the more sinister undertones that Jeff Smith's comics were so loved for have been allowed to further develop in this episode. |

Enzai: Falsely Accused review (PC)Reviewed on October 01, 2006I definitely enjoyed my time with Enzai. I actually played through every scenario and bled the story dry, because the dialogue and characters were so well-conceived. |

Caesar IV review (PC)Reviewed on October 09, 2006If Caesar IV is better because it focuses on the smaller details, then it’s also true that it’s better because it forces you to do the same. You have to worry more about things like hygiene now. More importantly, you understand why that is in a tangible sense. When you neglect the bath houses, you’ll see filth spreading through your city. |

Tsuki ~Possession~ review (PC)Reviewed on October 10, 2006No one, and I repeat, no one said anything about urine, adult diapers, or enemas and their *ahem* forceful outbursts. |

I, Damiano review (PC)Reviewed on October 13, 2006Somewhere in the midst of all this frivolity are cheery themes like wholesale genocide, illicit sex, and an epidemic of the Black Death; this is of course followed by folk dancing, because Damiano is a very complex individual. |

Sam & Max Episode 1 - Culture Shock review (PC)Reviewed on October 28, 2006Your enjoyment of Sam & Max: Culture Shock will depend on why you play adventure games: if you play for the genre staple of awesome plots and comic-like personation, this will not bother you. Flying through the puzzles within will simply allow you to progress more quickly for the fantastically insane plot and keep the new sight gags and witty on-liners flowing freely. But should you play for a sense of achievement, of working out one's brain by undoing some devious tasks, you may find yourself disappointed in the offerings here. |

Night Trap review (PC)Reviewed on October 31, 2006The last and best release of Night Trap, unfortunately the PC version is also the most scarce; most people aren’t even aware that it exists! But while you’d really have to be a fan of the original’s campy humor and ridiculous acting to bother tracking it down, those who do so are going to be treated to a significant upgrade of this timeless Sega CD “classic.” |
