Like the movie Barb Wire or, more importantly for the sake of our study, the TV series VIP. This series, which amazingly lasted four full seasons, featured Pamela as the comically incompetent boss of an otherwise professional bodyguard agency. Well, somewhere along the line someone coerced Ubisoft into making a game for the PlayStation based on this series. |

Revelations: Persona review (PSX)Reviewed on August 22, 2007For example, jokester Masao Inaba, complete with Asian skin tone, playful freckles, and pseudo-jester hat, did not make the cut. Instead, he’s overwritten by Mark. Mark, the token black kid akin to Billy Dee William’s role in Star Wars without a smattering of the charisma, wears a funky red baseball cap, speaks fly street talk, yo, and has a mad crush on the white chick. He’s also armed with hip-hop moves: to try to tempt enemy demons over to the side of good, Mark will dance sexy at them upon command. Inaba wasn’t hip: he was artistic, offbeat and unique. Vagrant Story review (PSX)Reviewed on July 05, 2007By and large, most RPGs aren't hard, really. They merely take a lot of time and effort to complete. This is because most RPGs base the player's skill on how much experience they've obtained, how many battles they've won. Racking up experience points is a time-consuming process, and it's hardly a challenge, unless you consider the test of endurance involved “challenging.” Your typical Final Fantasy or Dragon Warrior really doesn't take much skill to beat, now, does it? |

Star Ocean: The Second Story review (PSX)Reviewed on April 18, 2007I remember easily winning one of the final boss fights with ease solely because my constant attacking was preventing him from doing much of anything. On the other hand, an earlier battle seemed near-impossible because one of my two opponents had no problems with slipping away from me and leaping into the air, immolating himself (while screaming dementedly) and slamming into the middle of the fray, creating a fiery inferno worth several thousand hit points of damage to any of my characters unfortunate enough to be in the vicinity. |
