GRID review (PS3)Reviewed on June 25, 2008Cars simply don't handle the way they ought to. Any slight bump, any slight deviation from the road, spells disaster. Let's say you're racing along an enclosed track and one of your tires strays over the line. The second you touch dirt, you're finished. Your car cannot steer correctly at even moderate speeds when you're not completely on asphalt. You'll snake wildly in all sorts of directions—often circles—that have little or nothing to do with any buttons that you might be pressing on your controller. |

Kung Fu Panda review (PS3)Reviewed on June 07, 2008Fans of more demanding gameplay will be sad to hear that there's not really ever a moment—even at the very end—where the game grows challenging enough to test veteran gamers. There are three difficulty modes so that you can push yourself more if you're interested, but most gamers will probably like the default settings just fine. The devoured image quickly pops out, replacing the standard game view with an enhanced look at your enemies, who are now highlighted with a yellow glow. Bullets are taken with less damage, and your shields will replenish much quicker. |

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune review (PS3)Reviewed on May 12, 2008Think Indiana Jones meets Mission Impossible; that's what Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is like. You'll spend your time exploring a mysterious island, swinging from vines...and blowing dudes up. I compare Uncharted to movies because that's what it is like most. It feels like a high-budget, no holds barred blockbuster from Micheal Bay. Drake's Fortune embraces this, and delivers one of the most beautiful, memorable and intense experiences in years. |

Super Stardust HD review (PS3)Reviewed on April 14, 2008I realise that this game has been on the PSN for ages now, so I might be a little behind the times in writing a review for it. That said; I believe that this is still the best PSN download available and if there is anyone out there who has yet to get a copy then a little more convincing won’t go a miss. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion review (PS3)Reviewed on April 14, 2008Oblivion is the most recent game in Bethesda’s Elder Scrolls series; a series which can trace its roots way back to the 1994 PC game Elder Scrolls: Arena. Go! Puzzle review (PS3)Reviewed on April 14, 2008Go! Puzzle is not one game in fact but three; Aquatica, Swizzle Blocks and Skyscraper. Each of these games can be downloaded from the PSN store individually or, for a slight reduction in overall price, as a pack of three. Burnout Paradise review (PS3)Reviewed on April 14, 2008Traditionally I am not a massive fan of driving games and I fail to get excited about the likes of Gran Turismo despite its impressive graphics and wealth of options. It all smacks a little too much of simulation to me and tuning up my suspension not only confuses me but bores me to death. Thankfully EA made the wise move of releasing a demo of Burnout Paradise on the PSN. If they hadn’t it is very likely I would have missed out on a truly amazing game. |

Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds review (PS3)Reviewed on March 19, 2008Quite simply, you stand a better chance of knocking the ball out of the sand trap and managing an unlikely chip-in than you do engineering a successful putt from more than 4 feet (and yes, almost every putt you ever have cause to attempt will exceed that 4-foot distance). For starters, the on-screen indicators are wretched. The grid that you've become accustomed to in similar games is present, but its elements are too small to be of use. |
