Mega Man 7 review (SNES)Reviewed on November 29, 2004How often is it that you come across someone... or something, that at first, you like and think that it shows lots of promise? Then, it goes further and further up, and then you grow to like it all the more? And then, out of nowhere, it just drops to amazingly low levels and evolves into something that is just plain putrid? I know, it has happened to me several times before. Out of all of those "special" occasions, the one with my worst memories belongs within the Mega Man series. |

Mike Tyson's Punch-Out! review (NES)Reviewed on August 10, 2004Fear the man himself -- not the game. Mike Tyson, perhaps the greatest boxer ever, one to create fear in every opponent's heart! Not a bad idea at all from Nintendo! So it was then that I saw the name. Mike Tyson's Punch Out!!. A shock of fear went down my spine, knowing the difficulty that would surely lie ahead of me! Together with two exclamation marks, and you know Mike Tyson wants some food -- his opponents. I fought back my fear, turned the NES on and popped Mike Tyson's Punch Out!!... |

Mega Man 2 review (NES)Reviewed on July 08, 2004By far the most popular game in the original Mega Man series, this is probably the most beloved of them all. Many deem it to have the best gameplay, greatest music, etc. I am one of those who disagree with that. Mega Man 2 is probably one of the better games in the series, although it's definitely not the best there is. |

Metal Arms: Glitch in the System review (XBX)Reviewed on April 24, 2004Metal Arms: Glitch in the System is one of the few games that received very little hype, ever since its release. I am not exactly sure why this was the case, since Metal Arms IS a rather underrated and overall pretty nice game. It doesn't have much publicity, because basically you can only see ads for it on Gamespot, GameFAQs, and IGN, and there are a lot of stores where it can't be found. The game itself is a third-person shooter, involving a small robot named Glitch, which will explain the gam... |

Final Fantasy III review (SNES)Reviewed on April 24, 2004The Final Fantasy series is definitely one of the best series' ever made. From the first FF, Final Fantasy became a legend. It brought FF3 to FF4, which elevated it to greater heights. Then FF5 and FF6 came out. Although it appears like I'm reviewing FF3, I'm really reviewing FF6. Before FF6 was released for the PlayStation, it was FF3 on the Super Nintendo, or FF3j, whatever you choose to call it. Anyway, as it is the sixth FF, it's what I'm reviewing here. Behold, it's the third best game in t... |

Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando review (PS2)Reviewed on April 24, 2004Imagine this picture in your head: a creature named Ratchet (he may be a ferret or a cat) meets a robot named Clank, falling out of the sky as Ratchet goes out to repair his ship, who brings terrifying news of an evil mastermind called Chairman Drek, who plans to take away all the resources from all the planets in the galaxy to create his own super planet, and then Ratchet and Clank team up to become the greatest duo ever and eventually defeat Chairman Drek, putting the entire galaxy to piece, b... |

Enter the Matrix review (PS2)Reviewed on April 24, 2004I believe at least 90% of gamers out there in the world know about how bad movie-based games are. Just take a look at the Harry Potter games for crying out loud, and the Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. Examples like these tell us about the heinous atrocity that we get from playing such games. And then there was this, Enter the Matrix. The game is based off of The Matrix: Reloaded, in which I think was a pretty awesome movie, even though I've personally never watched the movie myse... |

Crash Nitro Kart review (PS2)Reviewed on April 24, 2004After years of anticipation, a sequel to the original Crash Team Racing for the PlayStation finally appeared and hit all of the next generation consoles, allowing players to control either their favorite orange marsupial Crash, or the dimwitted Dr. Neo Cortex, to stop yet another threat to destroy the world, this one being set by the egotistical Emperor Velo. Gamers are not to be grossly disappointed by the quality of Crash Nitro Kart, as it features quality driving action, fairly good variety i... |

Xenogears review (PSX)Reviewed on April 24, 2004Xenogears was one of those gems that Squaresoft was going nuts producing, in their golden age of the late 1990s. It is one of the few games in which manages to pull it off -- where the storyline fits into the game perfectly, gives it life, and makes it an experience that you'll want to play through. Without any room for doubt, the first thing that one will notice within the game is the beautiful music -- cheery themes fitting from within the hometown, quiet tunes with emotion thrown into the sad... |

The Legend of Dragoon review (PSX)Reviewed on April 24, 2004When I looked at this game on some website I thought, ''Wow! What an awesome game this looks like...''. And so with that $25 gift certificate I got from winning Review of the Month, I tried to get it on Amazon, only to find that I couldn't. I couldn't buy it used, I just wasn't allowed to do that. Needless to say, I was slightly disappointed when I found this out. So out of total surprise, my mom bought me this game for only $10! How pleased I was. I then happily inserted Disc 1 into my PlayStat... |

Ninja: Shadow of Darkness review (PSX)Reviewed on April 24, 2004I remember several years ago, playing this game on demo and then trying it out. Goodness knows, I was in for one of the hugest challenges that I had ever faced in a video game. Well, all the games that I had played for PlayStation were pretty easy, but this game was just... a huge difficulty. This game was created by Eidos a while back, and they have never been known for making difficult games. Not saying that Ninja: Shadow of Darkness has been 100% shattered by its ridiculous difficulty, becaus... |

Crash Bandicoot: Warped review (PSX)Reviewed on April 24, 2004From the very start of this classic series, we all knew that it was going to be one that would rule above many others. Crash Bandicoot was released in 1996, and it was a good game. Many fell in love with the orange marsupial, and he became a mascot and the game became a Greatest Hit. A year or two after that, Crash Bandicoot 2 was released, and it was highly superior to its predecessor. It also became a Greatest Hit, but there were a lot of people thinking Crash Bandicoot: Warped would be a bad ... |

Final Fantasy review (NES)Reviewed on April 24, 2004Final Fantasy. This is the one game that spawned the creation of the Final Fantasy series, one of the most beloved series' of all time. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed Final Fantasy very much. Still, there are tons of bad points in this game. Those range from the fact the characters have no real development, the thing about needing so much money to buy things, and the rather weak storyline. There is also a large lack of replay value once you have finished Final Fantasy, but the best thing about th... |

TimeSplitters 2 review (GCN)Reviewed on April 24, 2004It's a long world with many timelines and dates. The first end being way back in the old Texas blues, as gunpowder and revolvers incredibly common. And further into the dateline is a world filled with machinery and radars to track those who dare to pass by. Cameras that see all who try to intrude upon the area, and then as it goes to the end, a large futuristic world - guns like revolvers and pistols are a thing of the past - the world now uses lasers, autorifles, and advanced technology. There ... |

Pac-Man review (ARC)Reviewed on April 24, 2004As I sit here right now writing this review I feel myself urging to get to that arcade, where I pop a quarter in and turn on the Pac-Man machine and play that incredibly addictive game where you control a little yellow creature who goes around eating dots around a small maze, or better yet play it online at 2:00, and then quickly realize that the time has flown to 4:00 oh so quickly. The addictive game never escapes my head and when I sit down and play the game, I'm just letting the hours fly ar... |

Animorphs: Shattered Reality review (PSX)Reviewed on April 24, 2004Animorphs is considered by many one of the best book series' ever. The series is comprised of about 52 books in the main series, occasional chronicles of aliens, and a lot of super books, so in all there are about 60 books that the author wrote. That's a lot, so obviously they had to take it further. There were Animorphs posters everywhere, as well as movies and games. Unfortunately, book-based games are never that good... |
