Despite its attempts to be an improvement over the original Daytona USA, Daytona USA: Championship Circuit Edition still sucks. Graphically. You'll still be able to spot pop-ups that appear in each track, though, things don't pop-up as much as the original. But they're still pretty noticeable, especially in the replays. Impact Racing could have turned out to be a decent, combat racing title. Yes, decent. Unfortunately, it fails because it's too demanding at what it tries to do. Despite what the title might imply, Sonic won't be the only hedgehog you'll be controlling in Sonic the Hedgehog. Chances are, if you're playing MotoGP'06 for the first time, you're gonna crash. A lot. This is thanks mostly to the feeling of the controls when you're driving your bike. It feels awkward at first, and after a few laps, you start to wonder if Climax screwed up. But, if you're willing to stick with the controls for a little bit longer, you'll start to get how things work and why they work that way. And once you're over that, you begin to enjoy the other aspects that make up this title.

For the sixth installment in the 1942 series, Capcom decided to do something different: they let another developer make the game. Now this could've been disastrous, because the game could've been something completely different in the sense that "they just didn't get it". Or, it could've just sucked. Fortunately, the complete opposite happened, because they got Eighting/Raizing, and what you end up getting is the most intense, enjoyable "19" game to date.

1942 sucked. A lot. Piloting a P-38 through thirty-two stages of the same exact crap is not my idea of a good time. So, I wasn't really going into 1943: The Battle of Midway with high hopes. I read that it has quite a few upgrades that make it better than its predecessor, so I was willing to give the game a shot.

I've played 1942 a couple of times before, and each of those times, I didn't really get into the game. With a grand total of thirty-two stages, I just didn't have the time. But I was willing to give the game another shot when I decided to do a review for it. I made sure I had plenty of time to waste, so I can attempt to make it through the entire title.

Battlestations could've been a good game..... I don't like saying that a lot since you can basically apply that to any crappy game. But it's true in BS's case. A title where you take control of your own fleet (ranging from patrol boats and mine layers to battleships and aircraft carriers), set sail on the seas, and kick the crap out of any opposing fleet that dares cross your path? Sounds like a kickass game to me. Unfortunately....
