Advance Wars (Game Boy Advance)

Advance Wars review (GBA)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

Factors like terrain and weather effect the performance, speed, and attack damage of units. Units have special abilities, like being able to capture bases or transport other units. Most of the game takes place on the map-screen, but once the option to attack is selected, a new, split-screen appears which shows the battle actually taking place in detail.

Castlevania: Circle of the Moon (Game Boy Advance)

Castlevania: Circle of the Moon review (GBA)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

The backgrounds are well detailed, and in certain parts actually move, and appear to be 3D. The animations in the game are fairly choppy, but you really won't notice if you're paying attention to the game. Menus and labels are clear and easy to read, and enemies are easily distinguishable. I was very happy with the graphics, but not astounded.

Super Mario Bros. 3 (NES)

Super Mario Bros. 3 review (NES)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

As you play through this title, you're likely to pause at least once and wonder why games aren't this good anymore. The level design is bliss, the graphics beyond good and appropriate, the music engaging, the challenge level perfect.

Castlevania (NES)

Castlevania review (NES)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

Ah, the game that started it all. A simple kid named Simon Belmont sent on a mission that is a curse or gift for his family for games to come. The very first Castlevania game made, almost as old as the Nintendo System itself, and yet it still stands up as an excellent game, and the leader of one of the greatest series' ever to grace this blue and green earth.

Doom (Game Boy Advance)

Doom review (GBA)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

Probably the first aspect of this game you'll notice are the graphics. You'd also probably be wondering about them the most--Are they as good as the PC version? Are they up to the standard? And, sad as it may be, the answer is no. Let's face it--Having those kind of graphics on a handheld game would seem impossible, and really...

Dark Castle (Genesis)

Dark Castle review (GEN)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

Of these gaming failures, there has to be one above all others that misses even the lowest and most reasonable of expectations. That game is Dark Castle: a title with a target audience of none.

F-Zero: Maximum Velocity (Game Boy Advance)

F-Zero: Maximum Velocity review (GBA)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

And because of the fact that there are NO other elements incorporated into the game except straight racing (and this isn't even realistic, folks), the game gets incredibly boring. I don't want to make it sound as if there is no fun whatsoever in this game; it's just that after a while, it can get rather dull.

Chrono Trigger (SNES)

Chrono Trigger review (SNES)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

Whenever I find a great Video Game, I totally engulf myself in it. I play it non-stop, think about when I sleep, and of course, draw stuff about it. Chrono Trigger is one of those games. Everything about this gem of a RPG is wonderful.

Golden Sun (Game Boy Advance)

Golden Sun review (GBA)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

If you're unsure of what you'd be enjoying visuals-wise when you buy Golden Sun, expect lush, detailed backgrounds with the most variant and complex color palette of any GBA game so far. Sprites are well-animated and look better than many PSX sprites.

Golden Sun (Game Boy Advance)

Golden Sun review (GBA)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

After playing countless great RPGs by Square, everything else looked sub par. FF8, despite it’s flaws, was still a grand game and better than most games out there. So when I heard a non Square RPG, a RPG made by the folks who brought us Mario Tennis, was a god send... I had to check it out. (Apparently Camelot has a series of RPGs, but I didn’t know...I should look into it.)

Konami Krazy Racers (Game Boy Advance)

Konami Krazy Racers review (GBA)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

For one, it almost makes Konami seem cheap and unoriginal, because they use Nintendo's formula down to the tiny detail. For example, in Mario Kart, powerups and items were collected from little floating boxes... In Krazy Racers, you collect them from little floating bells.

Mario Kart: Super Circuit (Game Boy Advance)

Mario Kart: Super Circuit review (GBA)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

With the same SNES engine improved upon, adding smoother animations, and far more detailed graphics (they even move.) For any racing fan, or specifically a kart fan, this game is sure to impress.

Resident Evil (PlayStation)

Resident Evil review (PSX)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

I could make this review ''The way it was back when it was released,'' but I'm not. Why? I didn't play it when it came out, I'm playing it now. How does it live up to toadys standards? Is it still a good game? This review will be a bit different from my others. I won't go in depth because A) I just wrote a Nemesis review, and I don’t want to do it again B) Everybody and his mother knows about the average control sheme and C) I just don't want to....

Spider-Man: Mysterio's Menace (Game Boy Advance)

Spider-Man: Mysterio's Menace review (GBA)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

Graphically, Spiderman is a step ahead of other 2D sidescrollers and platformers on GBA, such as Castlevania and Klonoa. The crisp, detailed sprites are very smoothly animated. Instead of the 3-frame running animation in Castlevania, I can't even tell how many frames the running animation is in Spiderman.

Conker's Bad Fur Day review (N64)

Yes, Conker was in Diddy Kong Racing. Yes, he was in Pocket Tails. And yes, he is the star of the poo filled, parody filled, adult themed NINTENDO 64 game, Bad Fur Day.

Metal Gear Solid (Game Boy Color)

Metal Gear Solid review (GBC)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

You can still crawl on the floor, put your back against walls to hide from enemies, and use a variety of nifty gadgets and weapons to aid you in combat. This is the main area where the gameboy version of MGS shares the most similarities with the PSX version.

Pokemon Silver Version (Game Boy Color)

Pokemon Silver Version review (GBC)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

I really don't see how Pokemon got so much praise... It really doesn't deserve it. Sure, it's not terrible, but it needs a lot of work in terms of gameplay. It's just so repetitive that it becomes boring after a short period of playing. Really, this is only for people who really like to catch cute little monsters, or

Super Smash Bros. Melee (GameCube)

Super Smash Bros. Melee review (GCN)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

The most anticipated Gamecube game of 2001 was, without a doubt, Smash Bros Melee. The original was hailed as one of the best multi player games for the N64... the ultimate party game right next to Golden Eye. The original was also a homage to Nintendo, featuring 12 classic Nintendo characters from Mario to Link, Kirby to Pikachu, even Captain Falcon and Ness. It had classic music themes and everything. But while the multi player was fun, the one player mode was...lacking. Melee improves ...
