...Six days after breaking off one of my wisdom teeth at a pizza restaurant. Now I understand why I never went to a dentist before in my life. The experience is PAINFUL!
Today, around 5:00p PDT, I found out that I had five cavities, but all of them located on the left side of my mouth; so they have now been filled, and I had my mouth cleaned. Painful stuff, that cleaning, since my gums wound up bleeding for about three hours afterward.
Unfortunately, there's more work to be done. I'm gonna have to return to the dentist on Friday for a more thorough cleaning. Unfortunately, I'm stuck with my wisdom teeth for another week and change.

shotgunnova - November 03, 2010 (10:48 PM) I had an infected molar pulled in April and that sucker bled for days on and off...chewed gauze like it was Skoal, haha. At least y'got the cavities filled in the same day; it's a lot better than having small appointments and coming back every few months. |

sashanan - November 04, 2010 (01:03 AM) With just one two and half year delay (for no other reason than not feeling bothered to make the appointments), I stick to the twice-a-year schedule they recommend here. I wind up having a cavity more often than not, and I consistently have tartar buildup to be removed, despite taking fairly good care of my teeth. I can only imagine how bad it'd be if I didn't. |

qxz - November 05, 2010 (10:42 PM) Turns out I had a total of six cavities -- four on the left side of my mouth and two on the right. One of the right-hand-side cavities was particularly deep, and I may need a root canal if I'm hurting too badly in that area. |
