Super Columbine Massacre RPG!
I posted this review yesterday. I really want to know what people think about a game like this. Should certain subjects be off limits to video games, although they are open for other mediums? When making an artistic expression in a game, how do we balance the commentary and the gameplay so that neither completely takes over?

johnny_cairo - February 22, 2007 (10:56 PM) Games are quite capable of delivering social commentary and other serious messages, but almost always at the expense of pace, flow, and action. There always seems to be some obligation to move along to wanton creature slaying. Most gamers also don't care about pressing social issues. The very concept of an RPG based on historical fact is ludicrous, and your review made it clear that this is just a failed experiment in bad taste. |
