Devil May Cry HD Collection gets official release date

Go ahead and scratch an X on April 2012 with your blade of Sparda.

I've heard through the grapevine that some of you aren't completely digging DmC, the Ninja Theory-developed take on Capcom's Devil May Cry franchise. Maybe the HD collection for the first three PS2-era Devil May Cry titles is more of a thing you'd like.

If so, go ahead and scratch an X on April 3, 2012 with your blade of Sparda. That's when Devil May Cry HD Collection will hit shelves, according to Capcom. The collection, hitting both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 for an MSRP of $39.99, will be comprised of the original Devil May Cry, Devil May Cry 2 and (the insanely difficult) Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening Special Edition.

Aside from the HDified first three games, the collection will (of course) feature trophy/achievement support and some yet-to-be-detailed bonus content.

Well, this sounds awesomely devilish, doesn't it?
