Tomb Raider I-III remaster collection will be available on Xbox, PlayStation, PC, and Switch on February 14, 2024.

Steady your heart... This trilogy remaster collection will be available on Xbox, PlayStation, PC, and Switch on February 14, 2024.

The Tomb Raider I-III Remastered collection also includes Tomb Raiders 1 and the Unfinished Business expansion, Tomb Raider 2 and the Gold Mask expansion, and Tomb Raider 3 and The Lost Artifact expansion.

The remaster is being handled by Aspyr in partnership with Crystal Dynamics (both under the Embracer Group).

The original Tomb Raider was created in 1996 by Core Design and published by Eidos Interactive. The initial release first came to the Sega Saturn and was soon there-after released on MS-DOS (PC) and Sony PlayStation. Lara Croft, the iconic archeologist and adventurer, has been hired to search for the Scion of Atlantis. An average playthrough of the original game may take a bit over 15 hours to complete.

Lara's sequel followed up in the year 1997 on Windows PC and Sony PlayStation. Croft is looking for the magical Dagger of Xian. This sequel is also about 15 or so hours to complete for the average player.

The original trilogy was rounded out with Tomb Raider III in 1998 on PlayStation and PC. Croft needs to find the four pieces of a meteorite. This adventure takes the player on a 20 hour journey.

In 2013, the Tomb Raider franchise received a reboot, developed by Crystal Dynamics and published by Square Enix. Gary Hartley stated in his review of the Xbox 360 version, "Tomb Raider takes everything you think you know about one of gaming's best known franchises, and reinvents it from the ground up, but still retains enough of a lingering sense of heritage to stay relevant to the series." This reboot spawned a new trilogy of games that takes players back to the origins of Lara Croft.

Tomb Raider received two feature films starring Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft in 2001 and 2003. There was also a reboot of the film in 2018 with Alicia Vikander as Croft.
