Mass Effect 3's Omega DLC takes Shepard to, well, Omega in November

Mass Effect 3 image

The war for Omega begins. How far will you go to end it?

[Update] We erroneously called Omega a planet when this was initially posted. Whoops! It's a space station in the Omega nebula in Mass Effect's lore. Thanks for the keen eye, Suskie!

Mass Effect 3's next single player downloadable content, Omega, will launch Nov. 27 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC, according to a post on BioWare's website. The DLC will cost $15 -- or 1,200 Microsoft Points.

Omega will take Commander Shepard back to -- you guessed it -- Omega, a planet space station you might remember from Mass Effect 2. It's where Shepard first meets Aria T'Loak, the Asari crime boss and de facto leader of the planet. In Mass Effect 3, Aria can be found on the Citadel saying something about not sitting idly by while Cerberus has its way with her planet Omega, and it sounds like this content pack will have Aria keep her word on that.

BioWare's post on the DLC is sparse on details, but it did offer this cryptic line of text: "The war for Omega begins -- How far will you go to end it?"

We'll find out in late November, gang. We'll keep you posted -- Davila, out.
