Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty is Borderlands 2's next DLC
And it's out next week.
Borderlands 2's next downloadable content pack, Captin Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty, will launch Oct. 16, according to the Associated Press, bringing the first of four DLC packs in the shooter's "season" to the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
Pirate's Booty will task players with exploring a new, pirate-themed wasteland where enemies like sand worms await. The wasteland can be explored using a new sand skiff vehicle that hovers above the ground.
"You can sense the pirate theme across the landscape, even though there's no water," said Randy Pitchford, developer Gearbox Software's president to the AP. "It's all dried up. It feels more like Tatooine than an ocean. These bandits have really embraced the pirate lifestyle, and there's the legend of a treasure. That kicks off this whole adventure that the players can go on."
If downloaded as a standalone pack, the DLC will run $10 (or 800 Microsoft Points), but, of course, season pass holders can download the DLC free of charge after dropping $30 on the pass, which will give them access to Pirate's Booty and the other three planned content packs.
