Skyrim's Hearthfire DLC now available on Steam

Apologies, PS3 hopefuls.

Exactly one month ago, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim's Hearthfire downloadable content pack hit Xbox Live, allowing users who purchased it to build homes and start families in the game's immense world. Now, PC users can join in on the parenting fun, as the DLC is now available via Steam, according to Bethesda's blog. It costs $5.

Aside from announcing Heathfire's availability on Steam, Bethesda also noted the current Elder Scrolls sale going on through Valve's digital distribution service, which will allow you to purchase The Elder Scrolls III through V for $60 -- including V's first DLC, Dawnguard.

Oh, and speaking of Dawnguard, there's still no word on its availability for PlayStation 3 players. Same for Hearthfire. Last we heard, the issues Bethesda was having with Dawnguard on PS3 were problems the team was not positive it could solve. Pete Hines, Bethesda's vice president of public relations and marketing, recently took to Twitter to say he'll share an update on DLC for PS3 players as soon as he has one.
