Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance collector's edition unveiled, includes sword lamp

Yup, a sword lamp.

Continuing the ever-game-gets-a-collector's-edition trend, Konami revealed Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance's collector's edition yesterday at a press event, according to a Joystiq report.

Set to launch along with the "normie" version, the limited edition package includes some special boxing, a soundtrack and -- get this -- a "high frequency plasma lamp" that resembles the sword Raiden uses to perform all his slicing, dicing and julienning. Joystiq managed to snag a screengrab of the sword lamp, which, well looks cool enough to be a part of my desk.

The collector's edition, which currently does not have a confirmed price, launches alongside the regular retail version on Feb. 19.

People are all down on it, but that's because they clearly don't know that plasma lamps are awesome.

That looks like something that can seriously injure if placed in the wrong spot and you trip near it. >_>
