Pokédex 3D to get an update, will finally allow you to catalog 'em all
Assuming "'em all" means "all Pokémon in the Unova Pokédex."
The free Pokédex 3D app available in the 3DS eShop is nifty, but one feature is kind of a PITA. A few Pokémon will only appear in your 'dex if you link up with other people who already have them.
Specifically, if you want more than one of the elemental monkeys and its evolution, and the alternate forms of Unfeazant, Frillish, Jellicent, Deerling and Sawsbuck, you'd better have some friends who already have them. That's going to change on August 31st, when Nintendo releases an update for the app.
Starting then, all alternate forms of all Pokémon will be available via SpotPass. Think of it as one final hurrah before the app is removed from the eShop in favour of Pokédex 3D Pro in November.
