Assassin's Creed: Forsaken novelizes Connor's origin

The paperback book launches this December.

Who exactly is Connor, the protagonist in this October's Assassin's Creed 3? We know he's an assassin of Native American descent, and more than likely an ancestor of the Assassin's Creed series' main character Desmond. But how did Connor come to donning that white assassin robe and burying hatchets into the necks of Templars?

Assassin's Creed: Forsaken, a novel announced by Ubisoft today, hopes to answer that question by putting Connor's origin to print. Penned by Oliver Bowden, who's written other Assassin's Creed novels, the paperback will hit stores on Dec. 4 for a suggested retail price of $10.

Of course, if that "video game thing" is more your cup of Boston tea, you can pick up Assassin's Creed 3 on Oct. 30. Maybe if you like it enough, you'll give Forsaken a try.
