Anarchy Reigns/Max Anarchy demo now available on Japanese XBLA/PSN

Free violence!

It's not really clear when North America and Europe will be getting Anarchy Reigns, Platinum Games' latest over-the-top action game, since the release date has been changed from July 3rd/6th to "To Be Confirmed." (Platinum says localization is done and the game is ready to go whenever Sega decides to press the big red button.)

If you want a taste of the action now, all you need is a Japanese Xbox Live Gold or PlayStation Network account. In fact, this coming weekend is a free Gold weekend on Xbox Live, where Silver accounts are temporarily bumped up to Gold accounts, so even a free account will do.

The demo is a meaty 1820MB on PlayStation 3, and comes with two single player missions and five online or local multiplayer characters: Jack, Leo, Sasha, Baron, Mathilda, and Garuda. Sorry, no Bayonetta.

Tip: You can change the menu and voice language to English from the fifth option in the Options menu. You're welcome.

Max Anarchy hits Japanese store shelves July 5th, and hopefully shelves wordwide (as Anarchy Reigns) not too long after that.
