In other Thatgamecompany news, Journey, the studio's most recent release, has become the PlayStation Network's fastest-selling, SCEA-regioned game in the history of the universe, according to a PlayStation Blog post by the studio's creative director, Jenova Chen.

"After we released Flower in 2009, players sent hundreds of emails about their experience with the game. They varied from a nine-year-old girl to a 65-year-old man, from a marine serving duty overseas, to a soldier returning from Iraq," wrote Chen. "And now, the reaction to Journey has been even more overwhelming. We have received more letters from fans in the two weeks since Journey’s launch than we did for Flower over the past three years!"

And it's not just fans who are loving the game, it seems. The PSN-exclusive currently enjoys a 92 rating on Metacritic. Out of 67 aggregated critic reviews on the site, only one critic gave the title a negative score, while all other 66 gave it positive marks.

I finally got my hands on Journey recently, and I must say that while I don't think it's for everyone, it's definitely a video game experience not many games offer. Its immediate sense of sadness and mystery just sucked me right in, and its beauty is something to truly sit back and marvel.

Journey can be found on the PlayStation Network for $14.99.

Yeah, I'm still planning on reviewing it, but I'm kind've stuck in picking the right words. We'll get to it sooner or later. It is definitely a unique game in its style and presentation.

Phew, well I sat down and wrote for the last hour and a half. Almost done, but I think I'll take a break and release the review tomorrow.
