Just a quick update on the status of my in-progress guides...
I've had an Eternal Darkness guide which has been functionally complete since March, I just haven't gotten around to proofing it yet. The biggest job is playing through the game twice more so that the Ulyaoth and Chattur'gha Path Walkthroughs have the correct enemy and spell placements. And, of course, the Game Basics chapters, an Inventory chapter, and the Sanity Effects Database. If anyone is interested in maybe taking a wack at it, let me know, because my current motivation to finish it is nil.
The guide which is currently getting my "attention" (in quotation marks, because I'm barely paying attention to it) is a walkthrough for Link's Awakening (the original, not the DX version). It's sitting at the beginning of the Face Shrine. It's liable to stay that way, too, until somebody kicks me in the pants and makes me finish it.
Lastly, I'm considering returning to World of Warcraft, which is sure to permanently disable my FAQing abilities for the next five years or so. Please, say something to make me not go through with it.
Lastly lastly, my Twilight Princess FAQ recently hit 1,000,000 hits (more then twice the hits of all my other game resources, combined). Celebrations are being planned for a time when I'm not working for the next three weekends.

Felix_Arabia - July 22, 2007 (07:54 PM) World of Warcraft is for fucking losers who let their kids starve to death. How's that? |

honestgamer - July 22, 2007 (09:29 PM) I was talking to a guy I used to work with the other day, when I visited my old job. We were catching up on old times and out of the blue, he told me that he quit playing World of Warcraft. As the game sometimes does, it had become a source of addiction for him. He had his character just a shade shy of level 70 but lost his girlfriend in the process. So now he's had his cable internet disconnected because he doesn't trust himself to stay away from the game. If you're free from World of Warcraft addiction and your life has felt pretty good without it, why tempt fate? |

Felix_Arabia - July 23, 2007 (05:59 AM) Actuallly, shotgun, I'm not making that up. That recently happened to a couple in Nevada. They were so addicted to WoW, they failed to give food to their two young kids. Those people are fucking pathetic if you ask me. |

mrshotgun - July 23, 2007 (11:04 AM) I'm aware that people like that exist. I could see you being confused by my "making shit up line." The real heart of my complaint was the "villifying an entire population." Though I don't rush back to World of Warcraft gladly, saying you shouldn't play because you'll end up like some crazy person who clearly has some kind of deep-seeded personality issue is just dishonest. |
