And this is my attempt to update you folks on recent games I've purchased. Note than none of these are actually recent. I just took forever to document them.Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean (GameCube) (used, $13.49)Battalion Wars (GameCube) (New, 9.99)Cocoto Fishing Master (PS2) (new, 14.99)Final Fantasy XII (PS2) (new, 7.99)Heavenly Guardian (PS2) (new, 14.83)ICO (PS2) (used, 14.39)Wild Arms 4 (PS2) (new, 14.98)I've already started playing Baten Kaitos. In fact, I'm just shy of the 24 hour mark. Good game and surprisingly, no fancy cutscenes, with the exception of the spoilerful video that plays when you turn on the game. Final Fantasy XII may seem like an odd choice, since I already own it. But you see, I only own the Collector's Edition. and I wouldn't be much of a collector if I didn't own both editions, would I?Heavenly Guardian might be a decent game. I bought it before the reviews from IGN and GameSpot (4.0 and 3.0 respectively) and didn't know what to expect. There are folks on the GameFAQs forums who seem to like it, so I'll at least give it a shot.If ICO is anywhere near as good as Shadow of the Colossus, that's good enough for me. Cocoto Fishing Master... What can I say about that game? Probably nothing, except the fact that it's developed by the company that made the Charlie's Angels game, published by the company that published Ninjabread Man and other Data Design hits, and stars an obscure European character who debuted in a game called Cocoto Platform Jumper. What's not to love about this game? But seriously, this game has been tormenting me ever since I added it to the GameFAQs database on January 5th. What is this game? Is it any good? Should I care? And then one day I gave into temptation and purchased this game, setting myself up for hours of terrible gameplay before I remove the disc from my PS2 and snap it in half. But who knows? Maybe the game will actually be good.

psychopenguin - May 20, 2008 (11:13 AM) Wild ARMs 4 is really fun. Baten Kaitos is one of the better RPGs I've ever played, as well. |

Suskie - May 21, 2008 (12:02 AM) Baten Kaitos is horribly underrated and as far as I'm concerned one of the better RPGs of the last generation. Battalion Wars sucks. |
