So, yesterday, I went to my like Gamestop. Asked them if they had Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, because, you know...the release date was yesterday. They didn't have it, said that it was getting SHIPPED on 10/24/06. The guy told me to come back today, at 11:00, when they typically get this stuff in.

Okay, no big deal.

Came back today, about...11:00ish, right. Lady's there this time, and she tells me to come back at 2:00, because that's when they typically get this stuff in. As opposed to 11:00, which the other guy told me. I guess I shouldn't have trusted him to know; I mean, he only had the words 'Manager' buttoned to his chest...

No big deal. Slightly, perturbed, but I'm living with it.

So I come back at 3:00. Still not there. Not only is it not there, but the lady says it won't be there all day because of 'shipping errors'. So I take my preorder money back and decide to look elsewhere, because, really, Gamestop's offer of the code to get Silver Surfer with a preorder is extremely dumb because

A) The code's already on the internet.
B) That's...that's it, really.

So I go to EB. Not there. I call Wal-Mart and Target. Not there. Slowly but surely do I learn that NOT ONE DAMN STORE IN CHARLOTTE HAS THIS GAME TODAY.

I know there are other things to life than videogames. I understand that these things happen. I know it's really no big deal. But...I've been looking forward to it for so long now...just saddens me.

But I'll cope. I rented Bully, and it's keeping me tided; very good game, that.

On an odder note, depsite the fact that I don't find Scrubs to be funny, I find myself oddly compelled to watch it.

	silverishness - October 27, 2006 (06:12 AM) Genj, you are a sad, strange little man... reading the manual until mid November? ...Though, when I loaned out my Drakengard game to a friend, I carried the manual around with me wherever I went in my purse. She had that game for like... two months! I was going into withdrawls! ...I heard they got rid of turn-based battles in FF XII. I didn't want it because of that. And Scrubs has that effect on people. It's the same thing as watching the puppet sex scene on Team America; you know you should turn away, but oddly enough, you're compelled to watch. Some kind of morbid fascination.
