I...want...Marvel Ultimate Alliance...NOW.

I stopped by Gamestop and bought Tekken 5, because, well, I felt like buying Tekken 5 (I actually felt more like renting it, but none of the four Blockbusters near my house had it. :/) While I'm there, the lady asks me if I'm looking forward to any releases. I tell her Superman Returns, Justice League Heroes, and, of course, Marvel Ultimate Alliance. And, of course, she hits me with the schpeel about putting five bucks down on MUA, I get this VIP code thing for the site and a code that unlocks the Silver Surfer in the game.

Typically I hate these sales pitches, but, you know...I was going to buy it, anyway; this is a MUST-HAVE on my list. High priority. I usually rent, don't buy, but some games I just have to buy. And I've got five bucks to spare, so I bite and put five bucks down.

So...well...I went to the site and I used the codes and I saw all the 'EXCLUSIVE' pictures and...I want this game bad. I've got this major comic geek explosion going on. I'm thinking about all the teams I could use...

The NEW Fantastic Four

HULK
GHOST RIDER
SPIDER-MAN
WOLVERINE

In case you were wondering, this was just a joke comic. Damn funny, though.

The New Avengers

Captain America
Iron Man
Luke Cage
Spider-Woman

The Old Avengers

Captain America
Iron Man
Hulk (God, the Hulk better be an unlockable)
Thor

Super Soldiers

Deadpool
Captain America
Black Panther
Daredevil (Wolverine would be a better fit, but I'm trying to avoid using him)

My actual team will probably be like this...

Iron Man: He'll probably be tamed a bit from XMLII, but he should still have the power to be the team's heavy-hitter.
Spider-Man: A fast guy, quick. You need a guy like him, keeps it balanced. Plus, I like Spidey, so...
Warbird: God, I hate that name. They even admit it's silly in the comics. Most people call her Ms. Marvel; still hokey, but better. She's like Rogue. Good flyer, good damage dealer. Need a woman for PCness.
Dr. Strange: If he's anything like the comics, he'll be a walking deus ex machina.

...yeah, this is sad...

I expect a 10/10 review the day after release.

P.S. - I'm so excited for FF12!!1!!

The day after release? <_< I'll probably be too busy playing it to write a review that fast. And if I can beat it fast enough to write a review one day I bought it, well, it's not getting a 10/10, I'll say that much.

Ha ha ha... The geekiness arises! We all have it. In fact, I'm going out to get the new Pokemon game today... guilty pleasure, damn you!

FF 12? I thought it was coming out for the PS3?

I liked the new Fantastic Four. It was refreshing, even though that bastard Wolverine cut up the Thing and gave him even more stuff to brood over.

Ahhh well, all ends well with the two over a pack of cubans and a few dozen pints of beer.
