Ugh...I hate Christmas.
December 22, 2007

-_- Missed the Alphas.

It was kind of a combination of me

A)Thinking the deadline was Sunday, not Friday.

B)Not being able to find a game for I that even remotely struck me as playable. I download Illusions of Gaia and got bored with it ten minutes in. >_<

C) Work bogging me down. It's Christmas, it's UPS, it's been crazy all month - my weekdays have turned into a cycle of waking up, eating, going to work and crashing after 1:00 in the morning.

Am I making excuses? Yeah, I'm making excuses.

Merry Christmas to you, too, LH. EmP signed your Mass Effect review up for the Alphas, just so you know.

...but Mass Effect doesn't start with I..

You don't have the I slot. Drella couldn't make this tourney, either, so he forfeited his M slot, which EmP decided to give to you without obviously letting you know.

Oh. The thought of that occurred to me - I think - but I thought I couldn't do it. Thanks, EmP!

Everything I do is with my own goals in mind towards the happy times of Team EmP and the other slackers extended version of my online family who I sometimes don't hope die bring me much joy.

You're lucky I'm here to guide your actions like an impatient god. Your gratitude will be a review of Catwoman, which you must buy with your own funds.

And it will be written soon. Or else.

Believe it or not, I already own Catwoman...well, my brother does.

Then buy a new copy. It's part of the deal.

And not the Gamecube one.

Was it one of those sibling-gifts that you secretly buy for yourself?

My brother is very...odd. That's all I've got to say about it.

Merry Christmas to you too, oh-comic-book-fan.

Illusion of Gaia turns into a really good game, eventually, with some really cool dungeons. The first half-hour or so is really slow, though. I actually went through the whole game and even bothered unlocking and clearing the secret extra dungeon, which I almost never do. So... yeah. You should play through all of it sometime.

Illusion of Gaia does have some good moments in it.

However, to get to them, you have to refrain from the temptation to slit your wrists when the hero and the bitchy little princess are on the raft together for 4.5 hours yammering about catching fish and shit. I hated that part of the game.

Some of the dungeons were great, though....it was just all the GODDAMN TALKING BY THOSE DO-GOODER DWEEBS between them that got to me.

Remember in Illusion of Gaia when you'd get an special item and it would take 5 minutes to play that silly music and slowly write out "You got the something another"? That was so fucking stupid.
