A sense that my first post needed to be magnificent and portentous kept me from writing for so long.

I envisioned a mainfesto on the current state of game criticism or somesuch, but I'll take the plunge by announcing my pre-order of Phoenix Wright 2, the fancy Japanese-English version that comes out months before the American release. With a free sticker set! (PW fans, get on this @ play-asia.com. It's $30 with $3 S&H, which is probably better than you'll get for the American version on Amazon in Feb. '07)

The game's cover has Phoenix Wright and Miles Edgeworth, the guys you would expect, but also a silver-haired woman with a mean gaze and a lavish cravat. I was perusing a Nintendo catalog today, and it had a picture of this woman; her dialog box was labeled "von Karma."

HOLD IT!

If von Karma's daughter/sister/wife wants to throw down, I'm game.
