I probably mentioned it already. As I'm about to start school again I've been fortunate to have some time to do some self care. Health issues persist, and I find that writing reviews of games regularly helps keep the brain juices flowing.
It's that simple. I've been using the admittedly limited scheduling function to space things out. I'm hoping to encourage others, not swamp the site, though I know new reviews are good for the site. It's also a bit of a kick to see my name on the Top 30 Read reviewers. Cool.
I appreciate all feedback and don't ask for anything more. We've all got our plates loaded. This is a moment of sharing my experiences...and it occurred to me that I owe you all gratitude. Maybe I've said it before, but I'll say it again, anyway.
It was a big leap for me to start contributing to this site in 2017. Yeah, it was that long ago. All the feedback I've received over the years has improved my ability to communicate my ideas. For various reasons of all the creative endeavors I could pursue, writing is the most difficult.
So thank you, everyone. The readers, the reviewers, and the developers, too.
As for the reviews, it's worth mentioned that these are games I played many years ago and all it took for me to write the reviews was to make sure I remembered them correctly. It's been fun to get nostalgic about my time with my GBA and Nintendo DS. I miss the days of the 3DS and the social experiences we shared, and I'm grateful for them as well.
I've got a few games to look back at, so I hope to tackle them, as well, but time will tell.
In the interim, thank you, and take care of yourself and the ones you love!

honestgamer - September 09, 2025 (09:58 PM) I'm glad you're enjoying looking back at the games you've enjoyed to varying degrees over the years. Celebrating great (and not as great) games from all eras is what this site is all about... along with the writing side of things, of course! |
