This level is basically just a series of boss fights. You can use the worms here to grind for health items. Otherwise, head all the way up.

Velguarder

Before attacking you himself, Sigma will send his dog after you. Velguarder is weak to Shotgun Ice. He's pretty quick and can leap from the walls. He breaths fire downwards, which then travels back upwards on a weird arc. He can also shoot a quick flurry of electric balls. Keep your distance and shoot him with Shotgun Ice. Alternatively, you can take him out with a quick hadouken. As soon as the fight starts, immediately dash to the left so the purple pooch hops over your head and clings to the wall before rebounding off. That's your chance to strike.

Sigma (First Form)

Sigma is fast and he hits like a truck with his plasma sword. Stay far away. He can fire a flurry of shots in your general direction and he'll follow you if you climb the walls by doing his own overpowered version of the wall jump. He's weak to Electric Spark. One simple strategy is to climb the walls and have him follow you, then shoot him on your way down, avoid him as he hits the ground, and then climb the walls again. Keep in mind that he drops at a wider angle than he climbs. As with Velguarder, it's possible to open the fight with a hadouken and one-shot him if you're quick enough. You can actually start the quarter circle input for the hadouken before you regain control of X if you time it just right. This is important, because if you're too slow, he'll block your hadouken and you very likely won't get another one out without wasting a sub tank.

Sigma (Second Form)

Well, here we are, at the last boss. There's no cheap way out of this one. This is the end, so use your sub tanks if you need them. Die here and you'll have to fight the previous two bosses again. His weakness is the Rolling Shield, but his only vulnerability is his head near the top of the screen, so you'll have to get close. You can do this by wall climbing or jumping up onto one of his hands when it swoops down to attack you. Don't stay on there for two long, though. It can shoot lighting upwards and downwards at the same time. You won't be hit by the lighting if you're grabbing on to the side of the hand instead, but they're pretty small so that's not as easy as it sounds. It's not a great idea to hang around under the hands for that same reason. When a hand opens up and sparks, it'll shoot electricity, but if it doesn't, it's about to swoop down at you. Sigma's head can shoot lighting balls or breathe fire. Remember that you can get close enough to his head to damage him if you dash jump from the wall. This boss honestly isn't that bad if you have most or all of your health tanks.

The End?

After Sigma explodes, congratulations! You've won. The game's over and you can watch Sigma's fortress sink into the sea.
