Kirby: Triple Deluxe Guide > Story Mode > Royal Road - Stage 1

Ride the 3D Warpstars into the background and hop onto a star that waits there. It'll take you to a chamber with gusts of wind that blow you toward the right. You can float over the bulk of this area, dipping from the top of the screen only to pass through the middle of a formation of four spiked orbs. When you reach the far right side, pass through a doorway.

Now you will see a large tank in the background. It fires spiked balls toward you, but you can take shelter behind stone walls. They can only sustain a few hits from cannon fire, but that's enough if you slowly keep moving to the right. You can inhale a flying enemy for the Wing ability if you like. Keep going from there until you find a stack of gray blocks positioned over a ladder. Hit the bomb block near the lower right corner of that stack to clear your way to the ladder, then descend and hit another bomb block. You'll find a Ninja enemy here, along with a Sun Stone. Then you can ascend the ladder and continue to the right, where destroying another bomb block will reveal a doorway through which you should pass.

You will arrive in a calm area with a Waddle Dee that will throw an Assist Star as you pass. There are two capsules to the left from there, containing the Hammer and Fire abilities. Grab whichever one you like and then climb some enemy-infested ladders and ledges to face a mini-boss.

Mini-Boss: Gigant Edge

You know the drill: stay far back enough to avoid his sword when he swings, and to give yourself room to float over his charges. Then, when he is vulnerable, rush in and do some damage.

When you defeat Gigant Edge, absorb him for the Sword ability. A door appears. You can pass through it immediately, or you can use charge strikes against the wind gusts and head right, then float up a shaft to find restorative items. Once you're ready, go through the doorway that appeared.

In this next area, wind blows from the right and there are cannons positioned along horizontal bars. You can use those to progress to the right, or you can float (though if you float, watch out for flying enemies near the center of the screen). Near the far right side of this area, drop into a cannon and let it blast you into the background. Then continue right by way of the cannon. When you come even with a lower cannon (with a burger floating over it), blast into that cannon and then head left. Look to the spiked ceiling overhead and you'll see an opening. Fire up through that opening to break through some blocks and find a hidden doorway, which you should enter.

Through this door, you'll find two weights on a rope. Tilt your handheld so that both weight s slide to the far right side of their tracks. Then tilt the handheld left again, so that the top of the two weights is just in position over the brown block along the left side of the room. Cut the rope to drop that weight. You'll reveal a 3D Warpstar you can ride into the foreground. Step on the switch, then return to the backdrop. Position the other weight over the block that is now accessible, and cut that rope. You'll crush the block to reveal a treasure chest. Open it for the stage's second Sun Stone.

Exit through the door along the left side of the room, and look to the right. There's a bomb block here. Trigger it and start along the shaft. A Wheel enemy will roll toward you. Inhale it and absorb it to gain that ability. Then jump into the cannon and let it fire you into the next area.

Now it's time to deal with another of the tanks. The Wheel ability comes in handy. You can roll along this area, leaping as you need to, while the tank struggles to keep up with you in the background. As you advance, watch near the bottom of the screen. There will be a bomb block along that lower edge that you can hit with your Wheel ability to set an explosion into motion. Then you can drop down through the ledge and do the same with another one. If you advanced quickly enough, the tank will fall into the pit you create. Then you can head right and break a barrel to find a 3D Warpstar. Ride it into the background, then head left and open a chest to find the stage's final Sun Stone.

You're not done just yet. Head left from that ledge and descend a short distance. You should see an opening. If you float through it, you'll find the Rare Keychain: Galacta Knight hanging in a small nook there. Grab it and then return right and head to the foreground. A short distance to the right, hit a switch to open a gate that an enemy is guarding. Pass through the opening and you'll find the goal gate.
