Kirby: Triple Deluxe Guide > Story Mode > Wild World - Stage 1

Start right and you'll notice that this environment is extremely busy. There are numerous enemies as you advance, but what you're looking for is a couple of gray blocks that make up part of the walkway. They're weak and you can break through them with an appropriate ability. You'll find a Keychain in the recess they allow you to access. Then from there, continue right only a very short distance and find a whole wall of destructible gray blocks. Break them apart and pass through the doorway that appears.

In the new corridor, you'll head right and receive an Assist Star. There are bushes not far beyond that, with enemies hiding in them. Break down the bushes to get at the enemies, and also to find a Key. Carry it right to reach the stage mini-boss.

Mini-Boss: Hornhead

If you have a good ability, such as the Spear you could pick up in the first corridor, just run up to this guy and hit him a bunch of times. He won't be able to get far before he's a goner. Otherwise, you'll need to avoid his charge and then hit him with stars that appear when he hits a barrier. Either way, he's easy by this stage in the game.

After you defeat Hornhead, inhale him and gulp him down for his Beetle ability. Pick up the Key, which you likely dropped in the scuffle, and continue right. Tear apart some shrugs to reveal a hidden door that you can now enter.

Through that doorway, you'll find yourself in a vertical shaft. Ascend and there are two doorways: one with an orange star and one with a yellow one. Enter the lower one first and you will find a puzzle room. There's a weight you can move by tilting the handheld. Tilt it so the weight slides over the right, brown block. Drop the weight by cutting through it with your Beetle ability to access a switch. Have Kirby hit the switch, then ascend to the upper portion of the room. Slide the weight left so that it hangs over the left opening, and cut the rope to drop that weight. It will destroy the other brown block you first saw when entering the room (the one previously covered by the bridge) and reveal a Sun Stone. Now exit back into the previous corridor and this time enter the top doorway.

In this hallway, travel a short distance to the right and hit the bomb block to produce an opening through which you can crawl. Continuing right, you'll find another bomb block, but ignore it for a moment and fly up while watching for an overhead enemy. There's a higher set of blocks with another bomb block. Hit that to reveal a Keychain.

You can continue right from here and drop down and break apart another bomb block to produce yet another narrow passageway through a stone wall. On the other side, watch for a spinning column with spiked bars extended, and take out an enemy that guards another bomb block. Destroy it and proceed. You'll find an enemy here that likes to retreat behind a tree. You can take him out with the Cutter blade gleaned from an enemy to the left, or release your current ability and inhale it, then exhale it as a projectile. The enemy will drop a key if you defeat him before he can run behind the nearby plant. Carry the key right. Destroy a bomb block (you'll have to drop the key) and continue past another spinning column with the spiked bars. Along the ground, there's a ladder you can descend to a locked door that the key will open.

When you enter that door, you'll find a bomb block to the right. Hit it to eliminate some blocks along the screen foreground. Now you can drop through an opening and head left to find a Sun Stone. Grab it, then head back up and pass through the door to return to the previous corridor.

Head up and right along that corridor to find two Waddle Dee enemies circling around it. Enter the door and then head right to a 3D Warpstar. Ride it into the background and now you're descending a shaft. Break the bomb block and drop down, then look below to see an enemy hiding in some brush to the right. Take it out and cut down the brush to reveal a red star.

If you look to the right, you can see treasure in a crawlspace to the right, but you can't reach it yet. Instead, you'll have to head left to another enemy like the one you just defeated. Give the new one the same treatment, and head left to find it was guarding a 1up. Then start back right and drop down the ledge where the enemies are patrolling. Start to the right and watch for one of the floating enemies that looks like a flytrap. Let it descend, then knock it around and float up the shaft it was guarding. You'll find the Rare Keychain: Gold Waddle Dee that was visible a moment ago.

Drop back down and continue right to find a bomb block. Destroy it to find a door, which you should enter to reach a new chamber with a ladder leading upward. Climb that ladder and then another one, while avoiding the flying enemy. Some enemies circle a third ladder not far from there, and from the top of that ladder, you can leap left to a 3D Warpstar. Ride it into the foreground and then watch carefully. There's a huge column with giant spike bars attached here. Ledges are positioned in front of it, and you can climb those relatively safely if you're paying attention. It's possible to float toward the upper right and find a Keychain also, if you feel like taking the risk.

Ascend along the ledges in front of that column and then find a second one like it. As you head up along the middle of this one, you'll find a floating Sun Stone. It's easy to spot. Grab it and then keep ascending past a third pillar to find the area's goal door.
