Kirby: Triple Deluxe Guide > Story Mode > Old Odyssey - Stage 2

Start your journey through this stage by floating up to the upper left corner of the screen, where you'll find a Keychain. Then you can drop back down and start to the right. There are a few Fighter enemies along here, so gulp one down if you haven't already. Use their ability to punch away the gumdrop-shaped stone enemies that spin toward you. When you cross the bridges comprised of blocks with 'X' marked on the surface, beware that the blocks will drop into the abyss shortly after you step on them.

Continue right and you'll reach a door on the side of a cliff. Pass through it and then head right through the next area, minding the stone column that will crash toward you from the backdrop. You'll find a 3D Warpstar, so ride it into the background and then head right. More of the stone columns will fall here, this time from their position in the foreground. To the far right side of the area, you'll find another 3D Warpstar. It takes you into the foreground, with a pillar about to fall on you. Head quickly right and through another door.

Now you are looking at another of the cradles that ride along a cable. You can hop on board if you want, but flying to the right is just as easy and maybe even safer. Progress until you get to a ledge with an enemy. You can use your shock ability to hit a bomb block overhead, causing a Key to drop. Carry it with you as you hop into the cradle just to the right. Now, tilt your handheld to move that cradle in that direction, carefully stopping short of the pillars and edging forward to lure them to drop. You can stop below a Keychain and hop to collect that along the way. If you reach the far right end of the cable in one piece, jump to the ledge with your Key in hand to open a gate. Hop onto the 3D Warpstar and ride to the foreground to ascend a steep cliff and obtain a Sun Stone. Then return to the background and proceed right to find and enter a door.

You are on shaky footing as you appear in this next chamber. Hop into the air and give yourself time to look at the layout. You'll need to descend along a few of the crumbling bridges, and as you do you want to veer toward the right. Along that side of the vertical shaft, you can shock a stone enemy (or use a Cutter attack, if you have to steal something from a more recent enemy) to reveal a hidden doorway he was guarding.

Through that door, you'll find a Sun Stone to the lower left, behind a gate.To get the stone, you'll need to start right. There's an enemy there you can gobble down for the Mike ability, which is useful. Try to remove as few blocks as possible while you go, because you'll need them in a moment. Ride a 3D Warpstar into the background, then face left and use a couple of blasts to clear out the area. Then float left to a ledge with a Key. Grab it, then hop back to the right and return to the foreground. Hop left along whatever blocks you left, and make your way to the gate. Pass through it for the Sun Stone, then float up and go back through the overhead doorway.

Back in the vertical shaft you had been descending, keep dropping down along the blocks and then pass through the doorway. On the other side, you'll be tossed an Assist Star as you proceed right to find Archer and Bomb ability capsules, followed by a mini-boss.

Mini-Boss: Bonkers

Bonkers is a gorilla with a hammer. He'll go down without much of a fight if you just toss a bunch of Bombs at him in a hurry. If you give him time, he'll slowly move and hop toward you, and sometimes he'll spin in a little whirlwind that carries him across the screen. You're better off in the middle if that happens, as he poses the greatest threat along either edge of the screen. Just keep chucking bombs and he won't have long to roll out many fancy attacks before falling in a heap.

After Bonkers is defeated, quickly abandon your current ability and inhale your foe to gain Hammer. Then hop a ride on a new 3D Warpstar that appears. In the background, you can head left and pound in a stake to destroy some blocks and reveal a 1up. There's a similar point to the upper right which hides the Rare Keychain: 10 Kirbys. Then you should enter the doorway located along the face of the right cliff.

That door leads to a ledge with shaky pillars along it. You can destroy them by attacking the base, but pay close attention. While most pillars just fall on enemies, one could fall and crush a chest. You don't want that to happen. Note that instead, you can drop down and pass underneath it, then continue right to catch a ride on the 3D Warpstar that waits. Then head back left and open the chest that waits there (you'll have to hit a bomb block to reveal it, behind some rubbish) to obtain the stage's final Sun Stone.

Now head back right and you will find another stone enemy. Defeat him, then drop down into the recess he was guarding for a Keychain. With that in hand, hop up and proceed to the right to exit the stage through its goal door.
