Nice dude. I haven't been on here or read a review in a long time, so it was surprising to see a Heavy Rain review from you of all people. As much as you hated Indigo Prophecy, I'm surprised you bothered with this after all this time much less had some kind things to say about it.

As for me, I agree with most of your points. The big reveal at the end was for me a big shock and so kind of elevated the game's status for me. However, I do acknowledge that it is flawed and does throw a lot of what the game tried to establish out the window.

You hit Maddison's unnecessary inclusion on the head. I legit lol'ed at the "press down to pee" line... because it's so true. And what's sad is they tried to validate her character with DLC story expansions if I remember right.

This was one of the first games I attempted to platnum on ps3 about 8 years ago. Gave up ultimately because some trophies were a bit grindy and precise, so I lost interest. Might give back one day. Who knows.

Instantly, despite the life I have now, I've become interested in trophy hunting, so if I ever get the gumption to write another review, it'll probably be from the angle of how fun the platnum is rather than just the story, game play, etc elements.

Nice to see you writing again though. Hope you've been doing well.

Just wondering, why's this listed as a reader review while the others are staff reviews?

But while I'm here, noticed an issue: If you check the reviews written by a user from their page, the link is to http, not https, and that also makes the login not carry over.

Cavalary: When a staff member posts a review for a game someone else on staff has already reviewed, they typically post it as a reader review. That's the case here. Sometimes, readers have also 'freelanced' for the site on occasion, and then it would appear with the appropriate designation. I'll have to look into the other issue you mentioned, which is definitely not intentional.

"What if everything you see is more than what you see--the person next to you is a warrior and the space that appears empty is a secret door to another world? What if something appears that shouldn't? You either dismiss it, or you accept that there is much more to the world than you think. Perhaps it really is a doorway, and if you choose to go inside, you'll find many unexpected things." - Shigeru Miyamoto on secret doors to another world2
