Oh yeah, Satori Swamp at night is awesome as hell, both visually and musically. With the one minor caveat that if you're just getting there, you're going to want to sit in a safe spot to look and listen because if memory serves, the opposition goes up a LOT of levels when the sun goes down in that area. I'm not sure how many are actually aggressive at that time, but I do know that when I'm L15 or L20 or whatever and I see stuff with a skull or whatever they used to denote stuff you better not fight, I don't make much of an effort to see if they're aggressive or not.

That game was really memorable. Might have been the last modern JRPG I truly loved. Such a huge world with so many things to do and places to explore. And it kept opening up. There I was, about to go after the final enemies and instead, I was grinding levels to explore the back rooms of that early-game cave. And then finding out that fighting a bunch of stuff L90+ was a good way to make it so the final bosses could barely scratch me.

And, as a guy who doesn't like spiders, I really appreciated the way that two different spider optional bosses came at you in the form of jump scares. The one early on where you find some ruins at a dead end and one suddenly scales the cliff and attacks. And the one in a cave of some sort where you slide over a gap onto a ledge, look left and see one barreling down on you.

I'm not afraid to die because I am invincible
Viva la muerte, that's my goddamn principle
