As a kid, I only had S&K, and the way they implemented it really annoyed me. The battery backup is with Sonic 3, so unless you have that one two and play with the lock on, you can't save. Unlike Sonic 2, S&K was long and slogging through some levels to get back to the level where you had trouble was not fun to me.

(Of course, years later I find out there was a level select cheat...)

I always found the cover art for this one to be striking and probably my favorite in the series.


Not sure how to make a sig? While logged into your account, you can edit it and your other public and private information from the Settings page.

Yeah, that is the negative side of the levels in this and 3 being longer than those in 1 and 2 -- without being able to save, it can be a real bear to make up past progress, as you'll have to re-do a bunch of lengthy levels. I liked nearly all of what I played, but if I had to replay them over and over again to get a little farther, there's a good chance some of that liking would fall by the wayside due to fatigue.
