I find the art style here interesting. We've had "retro" pixel art in games before, but I've been curious if early 3D aesthetics would ever become a point of nostalgia. This game looks reminiscent of a PSX game (but with a framerate that won't cause migraines), so I guess we're getting to that point.
Not sure how to make a sig? While logged into your account, you can edit it and your other public and private information from the Settings page. |

Muddy 3D textures already made a comeback in some very late Wii U games, clearly modeled after the N64 aesthetic. I think one or two also came to Switch, if memory serves. I add a lot of game listings to the site database. I see things. ;-)

This guy's earlier work was MacBat 64, a Banjo homage that, yes, includes the N64 textures and all. So they definitely do exist. I didn't play it though. Banjo style collectathons are not my thing and it was a whopping twice the price as this game!
