I find the art style here interesting. We've had "retro" pixel art in games before, but I've been curious if early 3D aesthetics would ever become a point of nostalgia. This game looks reminiscent of a PSX game (but with a framerate that won't cause migraines), so I guess we're getting to that point.

Next up for a comeback: muddy N64 textures!

Muddy 3D textures already made a comeback in some very late Wii U games, clearly modeled after the N64 aesthetic. I think one or two also came to Switch, if memory serves. I add a lot of game listings to the site database. I see things. ;-)

"What if everything you see is more than what you see--the person next to you is a warrior and the space that appears empty is a secret door to another world? What if something appears that shouldn't? You either dismiss it, or you accept that there is much more to the world than you think. Perhaps it really is a doorway, and if you choose to go inside, you'll find many unexpected things." - Shigeru Miyamoto on secret doors to another world2

May early 3D graphics, and N64 grainy or muddy textures, always be with us.

This guy's earlier work was MacBat 64, a Banjo homage that, yes, includes the N64 textures and all. So they definitely do exist. I didn't play it though. Banjo style collectathons are not my thing and it was a whopping twice the price as this game!
