Nice review -- especially the ending.

Some issues here:

"Here’s a thing that happens: one you bypass the initial stage that exists to easy you into the game (but will still probably kill you less than a minute after you boot it up)"

Should be ONCE and EASE.

Anyway, this looks like a strong candidate for Rob's RotW.

I came across this game's Steam page, and the brief enough glimpse of in-game action tips its hat as to its true origins. I played Sticky Bear (a spelling game) on the Apple IIe, and don't recall any buzz about a game by this title. It would have sold a million thanks to its Bladerunner-esque cinematic prowess, undoubtedly - though it's a clever approach for such a venture.

Just how many disks would a game this fluidly animated fill, anyway? The developers aren't hiding the fact that this is a new production, but it does beg the technical questions of what it would have required of era appropriate hardware. Perhaps someone will explore those questions.

Good review!

P.S., there's a "then" that needs wrangling.

There is no way this would have run on an AppleII. I'me not convinced it can run on a mac. (haha @ Macs)

It's a great cinematic platformer that anyone who remembers Another World or even Prince of Persia fondly should really take a look at. Thanks, both, for reading and for the catches.
