I hope you don't mind, but I approved this review without even reading it. Because I trust you, and also because I plan to review the Switch version soon. I would like to go in with fairly fresh thoughts. I'll have to check back on this one after I've posted my own review. :-D

Perhaps it really is a doorway, and if you choose to go inside, you'll find many unexpected things." - Shigeru Miyamoto on secret doors to another world2

Oh, okay. If my review mysteriously disappears from the site, I know who to bla...

Anyway, I'll be looking forward to reading yours, and seeing how much, if any, it differs from my view of the game.

Also, replaying this game actually made me more interested in trying out the upcoming Monster Boy game even more. I wanna see how it handles the exploration and animal transformations in comparison, since it's drawing inspiration from The Dragon's Trap.

Now that I've read it, I have to say: this is one of your very best reviews to date. You did a terrific job of moving from point to point and capturing the game's highlights. Keep it up!

Appreciate the comments! It was a touch-and-go review to write, so I'm glad someone enjoyed reading it in the end.

I agree with Venter. I've read a shit ton of pick reviews and this might be the best I've read. I thoroughly enjoyed it, despite not necessarily agreeing with your take on the game. Kudos!
