This makes sense as an addition to the roster and as someone people would actually be interested in playing as.

I was all excited for a second, because I thought it meant Raiden as in the military plane.

Then I realized which Raiden it really meant, and I stopped being excited.

I've also heard any time you pick a character, it automatically switches to Raiden for the rest of the game.
