This is a fantastic review. LoD's still a great game, and it's remarkably entertaining to read how you review it completely dfferently each time. Even though you level many the same points, you do it in a unique way each time, and so it never gets boring.

I really enjoyed the use of images in this one, too. I think they were well-placed and provided an amusing twist to the review. You do a great job contrasting the stereotypes with what the game really manages to do well, and manage to underplay these tropes to the fullest degree possible while still acknowledging them. Really what you describe here is what I loved about this game -- the world's history and unique design (at least as far as the dragons go), and everything else in between. God I wish this game had been more popular in its day. But then, maybe it's a good thing no sequels or prequels or remakes were made for this. Those things often tend to erase any sense of wonder about an original release.

I absolutely loved LoD, though the Dragon transformations had a decidedly Power Rangers feel to me that would make me feel embarrassed if someone else watched me play.

Thanks, WQ. This is my third review for LoD, so I now wash my hands of the game. Unless, of course, I decide one day that I don't. It also marks review #300 under my EmP account, hence why I decided to go back and cover this for the landmark.
