lol, this review came out of nowhere and this comment is even more unexpected, I'm sure, but this is why I love that "random review" feature. When I saw Beethoven's 2nd got a score of 7/10, I had to read this to find out if (a) snow was an idiot or (b) the game was shockingly good (much like the Lion Kind on SNES).

What I found was that I'd been tricked. Well done, sir or madam who will never read this. Well done.

Until the PlayStation era, most Disney games were ridiculously good. It was more of a shock if you found a bad one. As for this review, snowdragon has been known to appear here in rare cases, even after he stopped being a regular (I believe he signed up for the Psycho Penguin contest but just didn't manage to write something for it). So... he may see your feedback. Someday.

Yeah, you are right about that. Chip and Dale and Ducktales are two classics that I've never forgotten, i must say. I don't recall tailspin or gargoyles being very good, tho.

Tailspin was okay, never played Gargoyles, Darkwing Duck was good.

This Talespin was okay.

I liked your review better than I remember liking the game.

I had heard Darkwing Duck was good, yeah, but I never got a chance to play that one.

I used to play Darkwing Duck a lot as a kid. It's basically an easier version of a Mega Man title. Still think it's a good game. Trying to figure out the hitbox for those dang hooks was annoying sometimes, though.

I think that's why Duck Tales was the best of those old disney games: simple mechanics. Awesome level design.

Chip and Dale does deserve a shout out in that area, too, though. But Duck Tales was ultimately more memorable. All I remember about Chip and Dale today is that there were multiple paths. And Montery Jack used to show up if you had "cheese"

The one I always wondered about was Goof Troop (SNES). Never did get around to playing it.

Maybe I'll have to cover Goof Troop, then. I do own it, but I haven't beaten it. I recall it being decent fun (and two-player!) when I rented it, but I bought it during a time I didn't have my SNES hooked up. Now that I have that retro system... :-D

You totally should. I kept looking at that game at the rental store, but never picked it up. The only genres I would really touch at the time were RPGs, FPSs, and fighting games.

Same here. It's a complete coincidence that I own Lion King.
