So, at one point, i requested this game. It was a few months ago, the date got pushed back and I lost interest. I saw you'd picked it up.

Ha!

(Solid effort as usual, Suskie. Makes the above gloating all the more satisfying.)

"Ha!" was my reaction, initially, went they sent a review copy. And then, "Oh..."

It's weird because, god, I love Gears of War; I've yelled this from the rooftops and I'm still playing the hell out of GoW3, but its spawned so many subpar me too's that it's hard not to resent it at times.

Random observation: the site is still without a staff review for Gears of War 3.

I'll upgrade it in the system, then. Sound good?

If you want to, sure. I figured it'd be too late for that, but it's your site.

I'm more surprised there's still not a single Dead Rising 2 review on the site considering the original game had 7 reviews, all positive. xD

And no, I won't be writing one anytime soon. >_>

Yeah, oddly enough I heard NOTHING about Dead Rising 2 after it was released. Like it fell into a vacuum.

To stay on subject about the review: Suskie, I did enjoy reading this review, as you did a good job shaping how the game flows and functions in a particularly average fashion. Pretty disappointing that the ideas were restricted to linear designs. I actually was curious about the game, since I'm always curious about any shooting action game these days that don't involve a first-person perspective, so I am sad to see it just.... suck.

As for Dead Rising 2: It's funny, ever since I made that previous post, I've actually had an itching to play the game! I think the reason I didn't want to invest time for the game when it came out is because of my experience with DR1, which was pretty time-consuming with trying to achieve the true ending. Plus the horrible requirements for certain achievements... Not to mention DR2 also has pre AND post DLC games, as well as Off the Record. So much to absorb x_X

Off topic: I loved Dead Rising 2. The first game was enjoyable but pretty flawed, but the sequel cleaned and refined the gameplay quite a bit. You still need constantly replay the early sections of the game to level up before you can attempt a run through the game, but the escort AI is much improved, combining weapons is tons of fun, graphics are a lot better, bosses don't feel as cheap. It's a really mindless sandboxy game but pretty solid as that. Never messed with the DLC or the rehash game with Frank West.
