I decided to treat myself to at least one game purchase this holiday season, and the game I settled on is Assassin's Creed for PS3 (because it also includes the original and now I can own the whole series on one platform). I got back from the store around an hour ago. I realize that this content was likely developed or finalized after the game went gold, but I'm still not entirely pleased.

"What if everything you see is more than what you see--the person next to you is a warrior and the space that appears empty is a secret door to another world? What if something appears that shouldn't? You either dismiss it, or you accept that there is much more to the world than you think. Perhaps it really is a doorway, and if you choose to go inside, you'll find many unexpected things." - Shigeru Miyamoto on secret doors to another world2

But each new character has UNIQUE ANIMATIONS, Jason!

On a serious note, I'd bet that second DLC the press release casually mentions is a lot more substantial (and hopefully an add-on to the single player campaign, which is what I'd say most folks play this series for).
