Excerpt from The Definitive Book for Body Language

Magentic Resonance Imaging brain scans show that women have between fourteen and sixteen areas of the brain to evaluate other's behavior. Men only have four to six areas. This example explains why, from a woman's standpoint, men don't seem to talk much and, from a man's standpoint, women never seem to shut up.

This is weird because I am the only guy in existence that enjoys girl talk.

I enjoy girl talk because it means I have to talk less.

I meant actively participating in it.

I'll talk to anyone who is interesting, and contribute to the conversation accordingly. That includes both men and women, obviously.

The problem is that it's hard to start such a conversation with women you don't know, because they're always secretly thinking "Is this guy available?" or "I'm not available and this guy won't leave me alone" or some other jumbled mess that has to do with relationships. There needs to be a place where people can go and relationships don't enter the equation, just stimulating conversation. I think then you'd find that... women like to talk more than men.

You could just drop the "my girlfriend/boyfriend" line in there nice and early.

There used to be a 24 hour coffee shop that I hung out at. I'd write, draw, watch TV or have a random conversation with one of the other people. I can't tell you how many times I got hit on by girls. Conversation always ground to a halt though when they found out how old I was. Apparently, 17 year old girls dig me.
