So since I've lost respect for Game Informer, as so many have, what publications are actually good (aside from HG and HGM - unless some hate that one as well...). Or if you feel like ranting (I welcome it), what publications should people avoid at all costs of humanity (which may not be a lot, but still).

Genj - December 27, 2006 (11:04 PM) I used to think EGM was pretty cool, but it seems like they have their heads up their asses now what with stuff like being paid off to give Enter the Matrix a good score. I think I even recall hearing one of their writers gave Xenosaga a 4/10 for all the story sequences yet admitted he found the gameplay segments fun. I haven't picked up a GamePro in years but I can only assume they've gotten worse. Is Ultra GamePlayers still around? I still have an old issue where they gave Battle Arena Toshinden for PSX a 98% . . . I think that covers just about everything. I mean, it's safe to assume official magazines suck, right? |

asherdeus - December 29, 2006 (12:36 AM) One of my friends pointed out that, during a "Most Disappointing" article in GamePro, they bashed Rise to Honor. GamePro gave the game a perfect score in their review. |
