Everyone Is Getting Married

I just got back (well, 36 hours ago) from my cousin's wedding in Toronto. I hadn't seen Debbie in a while, so I was surprised to find her already betrothed. And five months back, another one of my cousins - Anthony - got married as well, and guess what, his wife is four and a half months pregnant. I guess they didn't waste any time hitting the sack.

It just makes me want to get married myself. Alas, gay relationships aren't honored with the same reverance as straight relationships. Unless I go to Massachusetts.

Or Sweden.

I don't support gay marriage, but I bet it will be legal in the United States by 2010.

EDIT: A French guy thinks I'm hot. I don't know what to do.

Oddly enough, I support civil unions more than gay marraige. The term "marraige" is really a religious one - binding one man and one woman. It's a sensitive term and it should be. While I still hope that gay relationships are equally honored in the religious circle (or other circles thereof), civil unions will at least give gay couples the same rights by law as straight couples - including medical, financial, and legal issues.

But yeah, avoid the French guy. Better yet, just tell him you're straight. If he keeps on berading you, I have no problem with you punching him in the face.

He isn't touching me or anything. He's just openly gay and stares at me and a few other guys in a lustful way the whole class. It isn't that big of a deal as long as he isn't sitting near me, but unfortunately it isn't a lecture.

I'm not too concerned about this; I think I made it sound much worse than it actually is.
