RAAM (GoW) on Insane is a pain in the ass.
January 19, 2007

I think my IM posts will do a better job of describing how I felt fighting him:

PickHut: Fuck RAAM, fuck his mother, fuck his children, fuck his army, and fuck his birds.
blu: fuck rage against anal machines
PickHut: I just spen an hour trying to kill him in insane mode
PickHut: fuck him

Anyway, after about almost two hours of dying, I finally got him with an INSANELY lucky blind shot as he walked towards me. It felt so good defeating him that I sat around for the following cutscene again.

Whew, now I can concentrate on finishing the rest of Lost Planet.

Maybe your difficulty in beating him came from the sexual tension and confusion with which you are grappling. Remember: enemies aren't for fucking, they're for shooting. Now you know.

First try? Gah. It's those birds that give me so much trouble. Little bastards, they kill me even if a little bit of my body is out of the light.

Fighting RAAM for the first time on casual was stupid, because I had NO IDEA that the birds were protecting him from my hits. Would've been nice if I got a little hint or something about that.

I've only played the campaign on co-op, thank God for the extra help on RAAM, although at this point none of the difficulties are challenging.

I am officially a good Gears player now. I don't even play it much anymore, but the skills remain. My friend had 68 tags, and I never use grenades, but I got him the 100 achievement in three matches to 7, including one match with 17 tags, and one round where I killed their whole team with two grenade tags in about 15 seconds. Okay, enough bragging, but I did quite enjoy my brief stint as a fag tagger.
